Meet the Founder-A Story of Survival, Healing & Purpose
Founder • Certified Trauma & Resiliency Life Coach • Restorative Justice Practitioner • Author • Advocate • Survivor
What began as one woman's journey through domestic violence, incarceration, family separation, and homelessness became a mission to help other women and families find safety, healing, stability, and hope. Through lived experience, professional training, and a deep commitment to restoration, Katrina Butler founded So Far So Close to help women and children move beyond crisis and build healthier futures.

A JOURNEY OF HEALING, RESTORATION & PURPOSE
Katrina Butler is a spiritually led trauma-informed advocate, restorative justice facilitator, resilience coach, and visionary leader dedicated to helping individuals rediscover their identity, healing, worth, and purpose beyond trauma, survival, and life's hardest experiences.
As the founder of So Far So Close, Inc., Katrina has built a transformative healing and empowerment movement rooted in restoration, emotional wellness, healthy love, accountability, feminine wisdom, and human dignity. Her work serves survivors of domestic violence, justice-impacted individuals, women rebuilding after trauma, mothers seeking stability and restoration, and families working to break generational cycles of pain, incarceration, abandonment, and emotional disconnection.
At the heart of Katrina's work is a deep belief that when we support women and mothers, we strengthen children, families, relationships, and entire communities. She understands that unresolved trauma impacts not only the individual, but also parenting, emotional safety, identity, relationships, household stability, and the emotional development of future generations.
What makes Katrina's work especially meaningful is that it is not built solely on professional training. It is also rooted in lived experience, spiritual grounding, resilience, and restoration. Having personally survived domestic violence, homelessness, incarceration, and profound life transitions, she understands firsthand what it means to rebuild your life while reclaiming your voice, identity, peace, and self-worth.
Through advocacy, coaching, restorative practices, and community leadership, Katrina creates spaces where individuals are empowered to heal, rebuild, grow, and rediscover who they were always created to be.
Every woman deserves safety. Every child deserves stability. Every family deserves the opportunity to heal and thrive.

Join Us In Creating Safe Pathways to Healing
No woman or child should have to choose between abuse and homelessness.
Through partnerships, sponsorships, volunteer support, advocacy, and community collaboration, we help women, children, survivors of domestic violence, and justice-impacted families access the resources they need to achieve safety, stability, and long-term healing.
Your support helps provide emergency assistance, housing stabilization, trauma-informed coaching, restorative support, and critical resources during life's most vulnerable moments.
Together, we can help families move beyond crisis, prevent homelessness, restore hope, and create opportunities for healing, growth, and lasting transformation.
